Who is the Perpetrator of Civilian Deaths on the Bosphorus Bridge?
It is claimed that those who lost their lives on the bridge died as a result of the fire opened by the soldiers. This allegation is completely unfounded, without evidence and baseless.
When the autopsy report was examined, there were 34 people from whom bullets did not come out of their bodies. Bullet cores were extracted from only 12 people. 11 of these 12 cores are 7.62 mm in diameter, and the other 1 is an unidentified piece of metal. In the indictment, it was stated that according to the autopsy report, the bullet core was not found on the remaining 22 people.
If we follow a simple logic here, it cannot be said that "those from whom bullets did not come out died as a result of military fire". While it is completely questionable by whom and how those who did not get shot with bullets were killed, the death of those who did get bullets was not clear from which gun.
When the autopsy report in the indictment is examined, it is revealed that the time of death of the three people is uncertain. There are no bullet marks on the body of the other 3 people. Considering these, it is understood that these persons may not have died in the bridge area.
The death of those who do not have bullet marks on their bodies is completely questionable. Considering that those whose death time is not known may have died before the time of the incident, the evaluations to be made without resolving these mentioned contradictions will not be REALISTIC. Again, before these contradictions are resolved, it is NOT ACCEPTABLE to accuse soldiers regarding the death of these people.
For this reason, although the defendants requested that the HTS records of the deceased be requested from the relevant institutions, the HTS records were not examined by the court.
Those without bullet marks are Akın SERTÇELİK, Burhan ÖNER, Cengiz HASBAL. Those whose time of death is uncertain are Samet USLU, Barış EFE, Çetin CAN. Again, it cannot be said that those who were killed with 7.62 mm and 5.56 diameter bullets "died as a result of military fire unless it is determined from which weapon these bullets came out".
Why not? Because there are other elements using the same weapons. Below are the civilians and police who were detected shooting at the people. The first of these are those who shoot directly at the people.
- The police officers shooting at the people from the police station at the bridge foot,
- Snipers shooting at the public,
- Those who shoot people from Nakkaştepe,
- People shooting from a Mini Cooper car,
- Those who shoot at people from the black panel van minibus.
It is still a question whether these caused the grievances of the complainants. We will elaborate on these five items in the next articles.
