The Case from Ankara, Secret Witnesses from Izmir

Brigadier General Mehmet PARTİGÖÇ draws attention to many contradictions in the indictment in his defense in the General Staff Roof case heard at the Ankara 17th High Criminal Court. He also points to a very important point about Hulusi AKAR and Yaşar GÜLER, who are the important actors of July 15th.

No secret witnesses come out, two secret witnesses come out from Foça district of İzmir. …” PARTİGÖÇ draws attention to an important fictional error regarding the witnesses. Because there were not any witnesses from places that can be considered critical in a coup attempt, for example from the capital city, Ankara or from the largest metropolis, Istanbul. But there were two witnesses from Izmir.

In the continuation of his defense, PARTİGÖÇ raises a very important claim regarding how two witnesses, who constitute the important basis of the roof case, were added to the case file: “… But there are two secret witnesses there. I'll tell you. What is the truth behind this secret witness thing? In those days, there was a case (Military Espionage Conspiracy Case) in Izmir. His prosecutor was Okan BATO. He was a Prosecutor close to the government at that time…”

At this point, it is useful to dwell on the name of Okan BATO. You've heard this name often lately. From where? From Serkan KURTULUŞ, who has been the enforcer of the organization presented in the media with the headline "Feto stock market", allegedly including judges, prosecutors, AKP executives (including Binali YILDIRIM), police chiefs, and even the Prime Minister of the time, Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN. Serkan KURTULUŞ, who is currently seeking asylum in Argentina, explains in detail and with evidence how İzmir Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor Okan BATO plays a role in the threat-unearned income-execution triangle in the programs he participates in on Youtube. So where did you hear about this "stock market"? For example, you may have heard it from the 6th video of Sedat PEKER, the leader of the organized crime organization, who tells in the series of videos he shot how the dark structures that have penetrated into the state finish the job.

The dirty works of the "hero" Okan BATO, who inflicted punishments on military personnel over ready lists in 2016, spread so much in the public in the following period that his heroism expired in two years. And by the same will, he was forced to take a passive position in the "Domestic Violence Crimes Bureau" in September 2018.

Subject of the Negotiation: Will It Touch Akar and Güler or Not?

If we go back to PARTİGÖÇ's defense; “…(Okan BATO) had already arranged two secret witnesses. They had come and discussed this with Yaşar Güler in company with a deputy undersecretary from the Ministry of Justice. The subject of the bargain was whether it would touch Yaşar Güler or not. Because everyone knows that all the documents that were sent to the Izmir case were signed by Yaşar Güler as the Intelligence Director and passed the control of Hulusi Akar as the Vice President of the General Staff …”

As can be understood from the statement of PARTİGÖÇ that the documents submitted to the "Military Espionage" case, which began to be heard in the 12th High Criminal Court of Izmir on April 16, 2013, were signed by the then Intelligence Chief Yaşar Güler and the Vice President of the General Staff, Hulusi Akar. However, in the corruption and bribery case that emerged on December 17-25 in the same year, the political will preferred to cover up the dirt by changing the judges and prosecutors instead of getting rid of their dirt. The scales of justice, whose calibration was distorted by its involvement in politics, would never be able to weigh accurately again. The military espionage case resulted in the acquittal of all defendants on February 26, 2016.

At the same time, the indictment of Military Espionage Conspiracy against the Military Espionage Case was being prepared by the Deputy Attorney General of Izmir at the time, Okan BATO. The indictment was accepted on April 15, 2016. But if we look at PARTİGÖÇ‘s statements, there was a hard bargain between Bato-Akar-Güler before this date. As you know, the signatures on the documents presented in the Military Espionage Case belonged to these “Pasha”s. Somehow, the names of Akar and Güler should not have been mentioned in the conspiracy case. Perhaps, to persuade these names to the July 15 plot, their signatures turned into a threat.
