Dilaver Dervis Wrote: Official Figures Also Say "July 15 is a Conspiracy"
When the figures announced by the official authorities or the state-owned news agency regarding July 15 are analyzed; these numbers almost scream at us as “July 15 is the Conspiracy”.
About 10 days after the incident, the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) announced that 8,651 soldiers participated in the 15 July so-called coup attempt.[1]
Of course, 5 years have passed and the 15 July lawsuits have been concluded, except for one. If we assume that the TAF is an honorable public institution, we should expect the number of people sentenced for attempted coup to be close to this figure. But that's not the case. Even the AKP courts, which have become the plaything of politics, sentenced a total of 3000 people, 1634 of which were aggravated life sentences and 1366 of them to life sentences, for alleged attempted coup d'etat (of course, we all know that this figure will be close to zero in a real trial). The remaining few people were convicted of membership and similar charges.[2]
So, it is clear that the TAF statement right after July 15 was based on a lie and perception. So, it is clear that even the courts, which have become the AKP's backyard, could not find a patch for this lie of the TAF. I claim that if we can dismantle the perception of the events of July 15, nothing will remain but a fairy tale.
In addition, according to the statement of the Ministry of National Defense on December 25, 2021, 24256 people, who were claimed to be associated with F..O, were expelled from work. There are 150 generals among the expelled. The 3000 people who participated in the so-called coup make up only 12% of the exported figure. Of course, let me reiterate, I do not accept 3000 people as putschists, I act on the assumption that even if the figures of the regime are correct.
Let's do another calculation. The Ministry of National Defense states that the number of expelled generals is 150. Among those who were expelled, there are one general at the level of Army Commander and many generals at the level of Brigade Commander. If we take into account all the armed forces under the command of these people, including privates and non-commissioned officers, it is possible to reach a figure of one hundred thousand. In this case, when the number of those who participated in the so-called 15 July is compared to those who are considered to be related to F..O, we are talking about a participation of only 5 percent. Of course, those who base their discourse upon the discourse of the regime might immediately say, "Those who did not participate in the first operation would have tried the second if the first was not successful." Those who know the history of coups in Turkey and the world know that you only have one chance to attempt a coup. If you do not succeed in the first, you do not have a chance to keep a reserve force, because a liquidation movement will begin immediately.
The latest expel figures announced by the Ministry of National Defense show that if there is a social group that is alleged to have attempted a coup as the regime claims, these people are not coup plotters, on the contrary, they are pro-democracy.
As the regime claims, if the expelled soldiers had had a connection with an organization, it would have been possible for them to carry out a coup that could not be prevented, but they did not do that. Let's ask the question in reverse. What would happen if this military power was in the hands of the Ergenekon Organization or AKP? Answer: It would be like the situation the country is in today, and we are living it now.
